Back to New York
Well, Willie Randolph’s been fired, and you really have to hand it to the Mets for how it was done - in the very early morning hours out in Anaheim.
Seeing as how Omar Minaya couldn’t wait for Randolph to get back to New York, I was left with one question: how is Willie going to get back home?
The idea of writing the signs in Met blue and orange actually came to me at the last minute.
An alternative to the “New York” sign harkened back to some old cartoons I’ve seen, the “Will (action) for food” routine.
I also toyed with the idea of adding a car with Willie engulfed in exhaust smoke, but thought that just him by the side of the road is enough.
