Leave it to the Olympics to have a scandal ripe for a cartoon.  I wasn’t really sure if this was a political or  a sports cartoon, but since its gymnastics, I’m putting it here.  It’s been sitting in my desk for some time since I’ve been glued to the set watching Michael Phelps go for Mark Spitz’s record of eight gold medals.

 

Drawing Bela Karolyi was the biggest challenge - you’ve got to get that mustache just right!  The baby also looks good, especially the idea that she’s just landing on one toe!
