Another Little League World Series tournament and another broken heart for the kids of Staten Island.

 

There’s a lot of Charlie Brown references that I could do, and I thought of doing one with the kid’s mouth agape in angst, tears pouring down onto the ground, but I remembered that immortal line from “A League of Their Own” that Tom Hanks uttered: “There’s no crying in baseball!”  So the little tyke has to keep a stiff upper lip - very difficult when you’ve just lost.

 

If this kid proves as any indication, there may not be crying in baseball, but at least there are a few sniffles.
