Who would ever have thought the Phillies would go up against the Rays for the World Series?  I mean, I wanted the Rays but the Phills?  C’mon!  Everyone is predicting two things - that it’s going to be a long series, and that it’s going to get the lowest rating ever because both teams are “small markets.”  Translation: No Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs or Dodgers make for boring baseball.

 

Since this is a bit of an oddity in a World Series, I thought that the Phanatic might want to take a trip out to the Ray tank to see exactly how the competition stacked up, and of course, they don’t really know what to make of each other.

 

I’m really happy with the Phanatic here, but felt the finger tapping the glass could be improved.  I was trying to go for more of a “Grinch”-like digit with those long strings of fur, but couldn’t come up with the right look.  However, I’m really proud of the rays’ expressions, and the reflection in the glass tank.
