The Beast of the East
Whenever the NCAA tournament and March Madness comes around, someone somewhere reminds us of the so-called “Beast of the East.” So here’s my take on the infamous legend, of course putting the fright into some of the top teams.
I actually think the Duke player is one of my best drawings ever, and I really do love the buzz-cut hairdo I gave him.
For those who didn’t get the reference, I was watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail the other night and with all the bashing that Butler is doing in the tournament, I decided to change the “Black Beast of Arrgh!” into the Beast of the East. Of course, I kept the “run away!” part because, well, that’s universal. ^_^
