Mets thirdbaseman David Wright returns sporting some new, much larger headgear!

 

I guess he finally gave in and is going to try that new Rawlings S100 helmet, even if it is incredibly big on his head, ha ha.

 

I went with the obvious joke and play on the old scene of the kid wearing a hat thats too big for him so it falls over his eyes.  However, there was a great line sent into the Newsday by a reader: Tell David Wright Darth Vader called - he wants his helmet back!

 

Star Wars fans will of course get the above line, uttered by Luke when he and Han dress up as stormtroopers on the Death Star.

 

Dark Helmet from Spaceballs also came to mind, specifically the “I can’t breathe in this thing!” line, but this works.
