Hank & Hal’s Last Minute Christmas Shopping
Its Christmas Eve and all those procrastinators (or those looking for a last-minute deal) are out in the stores rushing to get their shopping done. The baseball version falls to the brothers Steinbrenner (Hank & Hal) who effectively cleaned out the free-agent shelves by not only netting C.C. Sabathia, but A.J. Burnett and now first baseman Mark Teixiera.
The hardest thing about this cartoon was the shopping cart. I did use a line tool but the challenge came from having to manage the multiple shapes (I learned my lesson to keep them all separate with the fence in the Marbury cartoon) and the three dimensions of the cart and making the “cage” overlap the characters only where necessary.
