Pity the poor Jets, who haven’t had a Superbowl victory since Broadway Joe made his famous guarantee forty years ago against the Colts.  Pity the Jets fans who - like their cousins in Queens - have a perpetual Chicken Little “the sky is falling” attitude towards life and their team, that no matter how good things are going, it can come crashing down at any moment.

 

Here we have Gang Green, who after a 3-0 start, now went 0-3, and back at .500.  I find it absolutely amazing that you can go from talks of an all-NY Superbowl (which I would fully support, of course) to just trying to get into the playoffs, maybe limping in if that’s possible.  Meanwhile Eli’s brother Peyton Manning is leading said Colts on a perfect streak, but that is the subject for another cartoon.
