The Return of Manny
And so Manny Ramirez returns to Boston - albeit as a member of the Dodgers. I bet the rest of the Red Sox crew never thought that they’d see Manny back popping his head out of the Green Monster again so soon, huh? But then again I never thought that the Sox would get rid of him a couple years ago, either.
Personally, I think I nailed the image of Terry Francona here, and having him startled enough to let go of his pencil and the lineup card is just the over the top fun I love putting into my cartoons.
One of the biggest decisions I had was using the correct shade of green for the Monster. While the actual wall is a bit darker, I opted for a lighter one so you can see more of the line art and details of the drawing.
