18-1!

I don’t believe it! The Giants won, the Giants won!  Victory is sweet!  It just doesn’t seem real to me right now, the game was so incredibly close the entire time.  Truly one of the best Superbowls of all time, or at least of the ones I’ve seen.

I don’t usually go out and get a lot of stuff to commemorate a championship - just a Yankee or Met hat with the World Series logo on the side is enough for me when either team makes it to the Fall Classic.  But a New York football championship is few and far between, so I’ll probably go a little nuts and get the hat (I really want the Giants version of the World Series hat), a t-shirt and one of those hoodies.

I wanted to enjoy the game, so it was clear that I’d have to draw two cartoons - one if the Giants won, and one if they lost.  Thankfully I only had to use the former.  Having as many members of the team climbing all over the Vince Lombardi Trophy was a natural fit, especially having Eli just hug and embrace the thing.  Coughlin here looks great, and I had to make reference to Shockey’s broken leg once again.
