My inspiration came from the infamous kitchen scene in “Jurassic Park” where the velociraptors are hunting young Tim and Lex, only this time it was Isiah Thomas.

 

My editor wants the cartoons to take a different route, and start cutting out what he calls “bubble text.”  After not having the cartoon I sent in without the text posted, I thought the other editors didn’t know what to make of the latest cartoon so I added some thoughts for the Raptor.

 

I’ve presented the two of them together, and leave you the reader to decide which one works better.
