Another cartoon I watched growing up was “Underdog” which formed the basis for this cartoon.  The SNY editors had named it “Super Eli,” so I’m guessing that they probably didn’t get the reference in my title.  I decided that Eli and the Giants do make the perfect underdogs against Tom Brady and the Patriots.  Once again it’s a battle between Boston and New York, and it’s just seems like destiny’s hand is again at work doesn’t it?  A sad thing that the Giants will be remembered as the last team the Pats conquered on their way to perfection, and in truth I’m not much looking forward to it, but I’ll still watch the game - it is the Superbowl after all.
