I really enjoyed getting the chance to do another Omar Minaya - Pedro Martinez cartoon.  I kind of like how their relationship has turned out in my world, as I’m having some real fun with this odd couple.

 

Meanwhile in real life the Mets are having trouble finding their fifth starter, having gone through Freddy Garcia, Liván Hernandez, and Tim Redding, and with Pedro still being unsigned, calls have begun to be made for Pedro to fill that last rotation spot despite his recent shaky history.

 

It’s rare for me to include names in the cartoons, and I debated it quite a bit, but since this is the first time I’ve done these pitchers, I thought it would warrant more than just their jersey numbers.  On a critical note, I think I got the likenesses of Garcia, Hernandez and Redding down, don’t you?
