So now A-Rod has a cyst in his hip, the same one he injected steroids into.  Karma, anyone?  I came up with this cartoon trying to make something off of the word “cyst” and it’s obviously a play off the cheer “sis boom bah.”  I just think that the cartoon really captures the feeling most people now have towards the Yankee thirdbaseman - a lot of fans boo him, while others are either ambivalent or just thankful he’s out and we can get away from the whole mess for the rest of spring training.

  

A-Rod will now have surgery to remove the cyst, and won’t make Opening Day.  Can you imagine the first lineup announced by Bob Sheppard at the New Yankee Stadium having Cody Ransom playing third base instead of Alex Rodriguez?  I couldn’t have predicted that.
