With the recent sweep of the Mets by the Phillies, the ever growing disabled list, and their inability to keep playing  baseball at anything resembling .500, I think it’s safe to say that barring a miracle the Mets are done for the year.

 

I mixed up the cartoon here, going vertical so you can see how deep Mr. Met is buried, but went for the standard 8.5” x 11” instead of a sheet of legal because I felt I could fit everything on the smaller size.  I did have to squeeze the Phanatic a little bit though which probably wouldn’t have happened on the 8.5” x 14”, but that was my choice.  I do like the choice to go the the actual black and white Met logo on the headstone though.

 

Somehow I don’t think Mr. Met has enough to break out of the coffin like Uma Thurman did in Kill Bill, do you?
