I couldn’t be more happier that the Yankees swept the Twins in the ALDS, since winning a best-of-five short series can be troublesome to just about any team (but particularly the Yankees the past few playoffs).
2009 also happens to be the last year of the Metrodome, and even though Twins fans got game No. 163 to claim the AL Central crown from the Tigers, the Yankees appropriately close the place down - is this starting to become a habit? I mean, they close the Old Yankee Stadium last year, and now they close down the Metrodome? I don’t think the Metrodome will suffer the same slow tear-down as Old Yankee Stadium though - I’m guessing some sort of big explosion/ implosion will be in order.
