The Road to the World Series

A sweep by the Angels and still no wins against Boston and you begin to wonder exactly what kind of a playoff picture is being painted for the Yankees when they make it to October this year.  Notice I say when and not if because they way they are playing and you can’t deny there is going to be October baseball n the Big Apple.  Still, the road to the World series will most likely lead through Anaheim in the ALDS, and Boston in the ALCS if the Yanks win the division.  If not, then they’re in trouble as you don’t want to play a short series against Anaheim without home-field advantage.  Therefore it is imperative that the Yankees stay atop the AL East.

I wanted to make this look as much like a bird’s eye view of an old map as possible, hence the labels and the features that both characterize the team location and the Yankee’s futility so far this season (wandering in the desert, lost in the forest).

I’m still trying to work on the sunbeams, but I do like my last minute addition of the seagulls flying around.
