So after Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov buys the New Jersey / Brooklyn Nets, becoming the first foreigner to own an NBA franchise, I came up with this idea.  Simple in that it only relies on one letter change... and a couple of other things.  I just happen to wonder what he’s going to do with the team now, especially coming off such a loathsome season and one of the worst in NBA history.

 

I tried going for a sort of Ivan Drago look with Prokhorov (which really fits in the the Soviet Russia thing I have going in the cartoon) because he’s incredibly tall and has that really close-cropped crewcut.  The purple suit - I don’t really know, it just felt right in the color context.  I also happen to think that that’s one of the best open hands I’ve drawn so far.  And since I needed someone to play off of Prokhorov, and it’s basketball, we get a chance to reunite with the Ref again!
