I Thought He Was a White Sox Fan

The Yankees made their trip to the White House and were given a reception by President Obama - an infamous White Sox fan - and what does assistant GM Jean Afterman do?  She blurts out that they better let the President hold the trophy as “he might not get a chance again” - meaning his White Sox!

Truth be told I really wish Swisher had made the comment - being cast as the joker of the team - but I’ll let him get the comment in the cartoon.  ^_^  I like the way Sir Swish turned out here, as well as Cano.  I simply went for that “cool” vide that Jeter just has all about him, and for A-Rod, well, I needed a someone to lean into the photo over the trophy and he just seemed a perfect character fit.

If any of you have been up to the Stadium this year, they’ve been putting photos of the players in high-priced suits on the jumbotron in center field.  I know some of the old-time players like Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra used to work as suit salesmen during the offseason, but that was only because they needed the income.  I just think its funny because the vast majority of fans come to the ballpark in t-shirts and jerseys, the players play in uniforms, and they’re putting photos of them in suits in centerfield.
