The names on the infamous 2003 list of those MLB players that tested positive for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) continue to just leak out one by one.

 

A lot of people just want all the names released and to get the whole era over with so we can judge everybody all at once, but there’s only one problem: the players who took the test in the first place were guaranteed anonymity - that their names would never be released!

 

So you have a situation where either the union goes back on its word and releases the names, - which it will never do - thereby betraying the very people that comprise it, or the names continue to leak out one by one over how many years and how many press conferences like the one David Ortiz put on today.

 

Does anyone else wonder what would happen if during the World Series they interrupted it á la the A-Rod opt-out in 2007 if a high profile player’s name leaked out?  Or if a player on the list was elected into the Hall of Fame?
