If ever there was a cartoon that probably summarizes the efforts of the Mets so far this year, it’s this one.  With Carlos Beltran on the DL before the season even starts and Jose Reyes’ thyroid problem, it’s one step forward, two steps back (or in this case, reverse) for the Mets, and all this before the season has even started.

 

I had a little different design for Reyes here, just because of the space concerns within the pickup truck with both him and Beltran.  I simply love the idea of the out of control pickup barreling backwards down the highway with Jerry Manuel yelling at the top of his lungs.  ^_^
