In light of the game against the Red Sox on Saturday where the leads kept changing back and forth and so many home runs were being knocked out of Fenway Park, I remarked that the game was more like a battle or a war than a baseball game, and chose to draw the imagery up.

 

I first thought of having water in the background, making it almost like a D-Day invasion, but instead went with just some smoke and flak in the air instead.  I wanted to have the infantryman holding a bat instead of a rifle, and having their uniforms splattered with mud was an thought I had while coloring, since it would be unrealistic to have them clean when they’re down in the muck.  I do hope they get out of there before the Boston shell goes off though.
