After the Mets got swept by the Cardinals, I decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite Alfred Hitchcock movies - “The Birds.”

 

To save time, I first wanted to simply draw one cardinal and duplicate him over the entire junglegym, thinking it would be very easy to have about 10 of them croding on the bars.  However,  after drawing one, I got hooked drawing cardinal after cardinal and practicing different variations of the headfeathers, tails, beak, etc.
