A bit self-explanatory: the Mets haven't really given their fans anything to put under the tree (or in their stocking) this year, no Bengie Molina, no new pitchers to fill in behind Johan Santana and no real big bat as of yet.  Meanwhile, of course, the Yankees have already given their fans their (early) Christmas present.

 

It’s always a pleasure to try to come up with a holiday cartoon, and see that result after you work, re-work and refine the idea to completion.  You’ve just got to love the pure innocence and disappointment that’s evident on the Mets kid’s face.  The hair I really like - the perfect “bed head” look when you first wake up really early on Christmas morning. ^_^  I tried different color pajamas for him, from light blue to orange, but the light red really was the only one that worked.
